Bug#50235; Package xmille. debian-bugs-dist@lists.debian.orgtreacy@debian.org (James A. Treacy) Subject: Bug#50235: xmille: perverse play confuses xmille -- no such card Reply-To: , 50235@bugs.debian.org Resent-From: Resent-To: debian-bugs-dist@lists.debian.org Resent-CC: treacy@debian.org (James A. Treacy) Resent-Date: Mon, 15 Nov 1999 10:03:05 GMT Resent-Message-ID: Resent-Sender: owner@bugs.debian.org X-Debian-PR-Message: report 50235 X-Debian-PR-Package: xmille X-Debian-PR-Keywords: X-Loop: owner@bugs.debian.org Received: via spool by bugs@bugs.debian.org id=B.94265976210472 (code B ref -1); Mon, 15 Nov 1999 10:03:05 GMT Date: 15 Nov 1999 09:56:00 -0000 Message-ID: <19991115095600.1907.qmail@gaggle.gg.caltech.edu> From: To: submit@bugs.debian.org X-Mailer: bug 3.2.6.1 Package: xmille Version: 2.0-6 Severity: normal I have seen a hard-to-repeat bug: if you've got only 25 miles left to 1000, and you have all 4 safetys and the computer has been shut out, and can't move, if, just out of perversity for a finish of a perfect game, you discard all of your cards before playing the 25, xmille gets into a 'say "no card there" and beep' mode. It may be worth noting that it was actually using xlib from 3.9.16 and was displaying via ssh on a 2.2.9 PII machine running (a presumably upgraded) red hat 5.2 and XF86 3.3.3, but it looked like an internal xmille error to me... I suspect "move.c" line 40. I think the 25 was in the rightmost slot before I discarded whatever was to its left. This "really good game" bug reminds me of finding a bug in a mac poker program-- it interpreted 3H 3S 3C 3D JD as "Jack High." Didn't there used to be a "low" severity for bugs? (yes, I'm bored tonight waiting for my girlfriend to fix her web site... so bored I played xmille long enough to get a "perfect" game...) - M -- System Information Debian Release: potato Kernel Version: Linux gaggle 2.2.12 #1 SMP Thu Oct 7 22:39:26 PDT 1999 i686 unknown Versions of the packages xmille depends on: ii libc6 2.1.2-10 GNU C Library: Shared libraries and timezone ii xlib6g 3.3.5-2 shared libraries required by X clients Acknowledgement sent to <monty@gaggle.gg.caltech.edu>:
