As shown below, I downloaded an hqx file, unpacked it to a sit file,
then macunpack gives diagnostics but totally fails to unpack anything
but the directory names. The reason I post this is I've *seen* the "0
d" and "d d" errors before, a long time back, and though that either
they'd been fixed or there was some workaround... You should be able
to fetch that hqx file to test; if not, I can mail you a copy.

If it really is a StuffIt 3.0 archive, I wouldn't expect macutils to be
able to do anything with it. StuffIt 3.0's compression algorithm is
proprietary. I don't know if documentation is available, but I wouldn't be
able to do anything with it if it were (my programming skills don't go very
far), and macutils doesn't seem to have an upstream maintainer anymore.

Ah. I've asked around a bit, and that seems plausible at least. Oh
well, feel free to close the report; I've since then also found an
alternate (zip) source of the content anyway...

Thanks,
I have added this fix to both kernel-source-2.6.8 and
kernel-source-2.6.11 in SVN and it should appear in the
next release.
If someone has a chance to test the build for ppc and ia64 that would be
great.
