track, and no music is played. In /var/log/syslog the following related

This error happens with every cd I ever tried with. The basic gnome cd player

The xmms package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.
For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/461309 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.
Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.
Thank you for your contribution to Debian.

Subject: xmms does not play last track of audio cd
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Delivered-To: submit@bugs.debian.org
Package: xmms
Version: 1.2.3-1
Severity: normal
When xmms tries to play the last track on an audio cd (through the
use of the standard audiocd plugin), it halts at the beginning of the
track, and no music is played. In /var/log/syslog the following related
messages appear:
kernel: hdc: packet command error: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
kernel: hdc: packet command error: error=0x54
kernel: ATAPI device hdc:
kernel: Error: Illegal request -- (Sense key=0x05)
kernel: Logical block address out of range -- (asc=0x21, ascq=0x00)
kernel: The failed "Play Audio MSF" packet command was:
kernel: "47 00 00 31 3b 1b 3f 1e 15 00 00 00 "
(stripped time and hostname)
This error happens with every cd I ever tried with. The basic gnome cd player
(gtcd) plays them with no problems.
