When using option `lcp-echo-interval', pppd now sends LCP
Echo's everytime; in previous versions (2.2.0f) they were only sent
when there is no traffic. I think this was a nice feature. Could
this be again as it used to be? If not, even a flag to switch from
the new behaviour to the previous will be welcome.
Thanks.

Hi,
The first four bugs are all resolved for sure, please close them.
I'm quite sure fifth is, too, but you might want to check with the
bug submitter before closing it.
The rest are just cleanups. #34180 might be fixed, but I doubt it.
I was wondering - are you planning yourself to merge the ppp-pam package
into ppp, some time soon (see #48237)? I'd be happy to provide a patch
or do a NMU. How about it?
And I have a patch for #45424, which would implement what the submitter
wanted, *AND* keep the backwards compatibility.

It looks intentional. I see no code in there to detect traffic.
