Very Simply
When i installed Task-X-windows as an upgrade several things went wrong
1. GPM is installed and messes up mouse controls
2. StartX is rendered non-working.
3. The XF86config file requires a driver line to work,
but no where in configuration are we given a chance o put in a drvier line.
Specifically, Viper 770.

via a FIFO, and point X to that.
