I have a Diamond Viper 330 with Riva 128 chipset. Without "chipset NV3"
in the configuration file, graphics display but in black and white with
funny vertical lines through the picture.
When I set "chipset NV3", which is meant to be for nVIDIA RIVA 128,
svgalib programs set graphics mode, then segmentation fault. I have
seen this with both zgv and the GGI test programs (using
libggi-target-svgalib). I have to start X to reset the display to get
text back.

Hi Hamish,
Offhand, I can't think of any solution. After a documentation search
I will forward your problem to the SVGAlib mailing list, to see if
they can shed any more light on it; I'm writing now so you know I'm
alive!

(libggi-target-svgalib is presumably libggi displaying via svgalib?
I'm not really up to speed with ggi ATM).
