output of dupload is redirected, or if dupload is run in an emacs
shell buffer. And since -q doesn't get passed to scp, there's no way
to suppress it.

I wonder if the scpb users which are used to the progress meter would
complain...
A patch to introduce another option to show all progress bars (scp, scpb,
rsync) would be welcome :)

Oh, cool, I'd almost forgotten about this -- I've just gotten used to
switching out of emacs to do the actual upload.

Valid wonder. Perhaps a "-qq" (extra quiet) switch would be the best
approach. Or something similar if that syntax proves awkward.
