gpg: key 020B29D1: secret key without public key - skipped
This is a good thing to alert me of, I suppose, but it generates this
message much more than necessary. For example, when doing things that
don't involve a secret key at all, such as verifying signatures. That
confuses me.

I have a similar problem. Gpg is outputing "no default secret key" (BTW this
message translated to polish reads: ,,lack of a private key'') when I try
to use ,,gpg --clearsign'' or build a package using dpkg-buildpackage.
Also in the ,,gpg --edit uid'' command ,,primary'' (hmm does it makes a
key primary (a.k.a. (or not) default). For it any uid for it is not vaid.
