It is probably not exactly a bug as such, but it is arguably a
security problem (a'la Bernard Meyers' comment about robots.txt
files on web servers) that directories that are listed `noaccess'
in /etc/exports are listed by `showmount -e'.
In the great scheme of things I suppose the potential problem is
minor compared to the exploitability of NFS as a whole, but still...

Both /etc/exports and the showmount command are part of the netstd
package. the 'mount' package is only for "local" use and plays no role in
nfs exportation.

This bug is in mountd, not showmount. showmount will list whatever
exports is retuned in the rpc call (so if it were to be fixed in
the Linux showmount, the noaccess directories would still show up
with showmount from other platforms).

AFAIK, showmount is now in nfs-client, is it not?
