Upon installing Debian on a new flat panel SGI Visual Workstation,
with its very unusual hardware for a PC, I found that "hwclock"
freezes forever, as shown below.
It would be nice to be able to tell people to just
"dpkg --purge hwclock"
as hwclock is logically is a rather low-priority matter, and needn't
be in an essential package.
