Subject: Bug#83312: device3dfx-source: Module doesn't appear to work with 2.4.0 kernels. Glide examples give a card not found error, and the module gets a negative usage counter. Works fine with 2.2 kernels, however.

Compiles and loads ok for me with current (frozen?) Woody (26.05.2002)

the glide test examples I'm getting the "card not found error" too. But
since I'm using a Voodoo 1 this "card not found" error is expected - there's
a problem with the current libglide2, it's not compatible with a Voodoo1,
take a look at #115179

Followup-For: Bug #83312
After a fresh kernel 2.4.20 kernel install, I was met with the error
below when performing make-kpkg modules_image for device3dfx-source.
However, a google led me to a patch at
http://www.webpersonal.net/lepton/patches.html
The patch corrected my problem and as far as I can tell looks like
it would be a welcome fix.
