In particular, the fact that you have to say shift-W to write rather than just W isn't obvious from the user interface, and plain Q does an unprompted quit-without-save. Indeed. The purpose of my wishlist report was not to try to force anyone to do this, but to record the fact that we (Debian) think this is a problem (if, as seems, our package maintainer agrees).
