The swarm is even approximately in the same place on the screen when it happens. I have absolutely no problems with xscreensaver. I guess it is some interaction between xlock, the Xserver and the machine beeing SMP that causes the Xserver and/or Xlock to hang. If you want I can send you traces. It dies. It happens randomly, and only with some modes, for example the matrix mode. I know it's an xlockmore issue because my machine NEVER hangs, only when I leave it alone locked with the matrix. Card: nVidia Corporation NV5M64 [RIVA TNT2 Model 64/Model 64 Pro] (rev 15) CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1500MHz BTW I think this also happened to me with an older computer which has an S3 Savage3D card.
