I have a 3-day-old installation of Deb 2.2r2 (ISO-image on CD). I needed printing so I said: "apt-get install apsfilter" (which got 3 packages: apsfilter, lpr and file; if I remember correctly) It launched "apsfilterconfig" which then said it missed package "gs" for my HP670. "apt-get install gs" "apsfilterconfig" I went smoothly through the install-menu option-by-option: 1,2,3,4,5 and when I confirmed that I wanted to print a test page I got rows upon rows upon never-ending rows of the following message: "Unrecoverable error: Unrecoverable error: execstackoverflow in Unrecoverable error: Unrecoverable error: execstackoverflow in Unrecoverable error: Unrecoverable error: execstackoverflow in Unrecoverable error: Unrecoverable error: execstackoverflow in Unrecoverable error: Unrecoverable error: execstackoverflow in Unrecoverable error: Unrecoverable error: execstackoverflow in Unrecoverable error: Unrecoverable error: execstackoverflow in Unrecoverable error: Unrecoverable error: execstackoverflow in Unrecoverable error: Unrecoverable error: execstackoverflow in Unrecoverable error: Unrecoverable error: execstackoverflow in " ......etc. (It printed a whole bunch of lines -stopped--continued--stopped- etc.: intermittently) "Ctrl-C" Dunno what other info you need: I'm triple booting with Win98 and SuSE 6.4 also....they all print beautifully without any intervention from me. In the case of SuSE: it setup the printer the first time I installed the OS and I never looked back. Hope it's not me ;-) Keep up the GREAT work!
