(1) although X11 configuration manages to use vga16, it is
not adequate to create a configuration for use with vga16.
[e.g. it won't come up with a timing to match the dot clock.]
(2) If you select vga16 as your default xserver, then decide
not to bother attempting to create a configuration file, then
select svga as your default xserver, you can't create a
configuration file because /etc/X11/Xsession wasn't created,
yet the script expects that it had been.
