Apparently the person who put in the check for subdirs of debian/ has been to
stringent.  It now disallows all subdirs other than debian/, I got this one
when unpacking kernel-source

dpkg-source: error: diff patches file (kernel-source-2.0.30.orig/drivers/isdn/hisax/Makefile) whose directory does not appear in tarfile

It'd be nice to see this fixed before bo is released.
