It happens when executed from the command line as well as when launched automatically from Netscape. ~$ vrweb -URL http://www.iicm.edu/0x811b9908_0x0017f1d4 --- VRweb 1.3 of Thu 6 Feb 1997 --- Copyright (c) 1996 IICM, Graz University of Technology, Austria. Virtual memory exceeded in `new' This behavious occurs on a Cyrix 686/P166 with 96MB memory and also on a Cyrix 686/P120 with 32MB both running Linux 2.0.29 with the Cyrix patches (VSPM disabled). I haven't yet tested it on a 486 or Pentium...I don't think that CPU or mem size makes any difference.
