If i call passwd on a host acting as a nis client, npasswd
doesn't seem to respect the nis entry in /etc/passwd.

I debianized npasswd so that dumb passwds would be refused on a clients
machine. The currect passwd package rejects dumb passwds too. So I
consider npasswd obsolete. If you feel the package is worthwhile,
please take over maintenance of it. The "_" should be removed from the
name if a new version is made. Since this is going to the bug
tracking system, I will note that Marek has found security weaknesses
in the npasswd_boulder package on sunsite. Since that is where I
grabbed the sources, it is probable that the Debian package has
inherited those weaknesses. Since I no longer use npasswd myself, I
haven't bothered to investigate these conscerns.
