Subject: perl 5.003.07-7 doesn't install

Setting up perl (5.003.07-7) ...
ln: cannot create symbolic link `/usr/lib/perl5/i386-linux/5.00320/asm' to `asm-i386': No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing perl (--install):
 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1

I was able to work around it with an explicit 
	# mkdir /usr/lib/perl5/i386-linux/5.00320
but that shouldn't be necessary...
