I Stuart> had to put a "\#" in to resolve it. Well, I just tried it in the latest development release (soon-to-be 0.10.7) and I do not see any problem (with WYSIWYG tables). However, it does not seem to me that there have been changes in this respect. A more elaborate description could help understand what happens... Very probably the # doesn't appear in normal text, too, >with Stuarts installation. I can't really say for sure - the bug was reported by a Debian user (using the Debian bug-tracking system), and I just forwarded it to the Lyx mailing list (to which I subscribed at the same time :-) I'll fiddle with my setup at home, and see if I can reproduce the problem, with and without a "#" outside the table..I'll also contact the user who reported the problem, and see what exactly was done to cause this. (it was cjf@nothinbut.net, FWIW.) (As for whether "#" should appear as "\#" in a LaTeX file or not, I really couldn't say - that's why I use LyX :-)
