Subject: xterm uses ^H which is incompatible with standard TTYs
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Package: xbase
Version: 3.2-3
The 'xterm' program returns a ^H for the backspace key. The standard
ttys expect ^? as a rubout character. These should be compatible or
it's just going to cause problems for users.
If it has been decided to have xterm return a ^H, please _don't_ simply
close this, but rather forward it to whatever package is responsible
for the standard TTY setup.
