Since I upgraded to ncurses-base 1.9.9g-1, ncftp puts the screen into bold and leaves it there, even after exiting. With the old version of ncurses-base, ncftp would correctly only display selected information in bold and then switch back to normal. David -- David Engel ODS Networks david@sw.ods.com 1001 E. It probably won't help, but perhaps you can upgrade to 1.9.9g-2, which is going into Incoming even as I write. If it still happens, let me know. --Galen Information forwarded to debian-bugs-dist@lists.debian.org, Michael Alan Dorman <mdorman@lot49.med.miami.edu>:

Actually, let me be more specific: I can't reproduce this using my home-compiled 2.4.2, also built with ncurses3.0. I don't have access to ncftp 1.9.x, so I can't check that. --Galen Information forwarded to debian-bugs-dist@lists.debian.org, Michael Alan Dorman <mdorman@lot49.med.miami.edu>:

The obvious thing to do at this point would be to rebuild ncftp with 3.4, and see if the problem goes away. If it does, then it's a 3.0 bug that got fixed. If not...depending on how you look at it, the linux entry is wrong, or the way ncftp handles it is wrong. I'm grabbing the 1.9.5 sources, and will give it a try. --Galen
