I got a few error windows from Xarchie saying that the connection was closed, it couldn't read from a connection, and that it failed to get the file. After the last window, the xterm that I ran xarchie from scrolled with this: Warning: Select failed; error code 9 Warning: Select failed; error code 9 Warning: Select failed; error code 9 Warning: Select failed; error code 9 Warning: Select failed; error code 9 Warning: Select failed; error code 9 It looks like the FTP connection closed unexpectedly, but xarchie stayed in a loop trying to read from an invalid socket (no longer connected). It probably does not check select for certain error values. -D.J. Gregor, N8QLB,
