Details please -- can you send me xconsole core dumps, straces, etc? Any
particular thing I can do to recreate the crash? I haven't noticed the
problem here, but I don't use xconsole often.

I have changed in /etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup_0 the line that start xconsole to
save the strace in a file.
strace -o /root/xconsole_trace xconsole -geometry 380x120-0-0 -daemon -exitOnFail -file /dev/xconsole
The xconsole go in crash if when i am in xbanner i try to move up down the
focus using the vertical scroll bar after starting xdm at boot.
This is the strace output file gzipped and uuencoded.
