I do not understand this bug report. The correct name to use for the
ISO 8859-1 charset is 'ISO-8859-1', not 'iso_8859_1'. Why don't you
want to use 'ISO-8859-1'?

Eh, ISO-8859-2 is not the same as ISO-8859-1. Check
/usr/share/i18n/charmaps/ for the list of available charmaps.
