You must upgrade at least to man 2.3.10-18 which is now in 1.2.x or, better, to man-db 2.3.10-33 (in frozen/bo) or -34 (still in Incoming). Mostly because of the changes in man-2.3.10-18 : * changed the way 'man 9term' problem is handled (bug#5345) fixed badly in 2.3.10-16 (oops) For the fact that the other commands worked even without the change ...
