Subject: autolog puts incorrect entry into /etc/crontab
Mime-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"
Package: autolog
Version: 0.34-2
This is what autolog puts into the /etc/crontab file:
#-- autolog begin
0,10,20,30,40,50 * * * * /usr/sbin/autolog
#-- autolog end
This doesn't work because the USER hasn't been specified - the entry should
be like this:
#-- autolog begin
*/10 * * * * root /usr/sbin/autolog
#-- autolog end
(0,10 ... aren't really necessary, to avoid clutter */10 does the job)

Further to my previous message, perhaps a "> /dev/null 2>&1" (without the
quotes) should go into the crontab file on the end of the autolog entry -
when it killed a process that it couldn't send a message to to gave me an
email.
