From: rdm@tad.micro.umn.edu
To: submit@bugs.debian.org
Package: 9wm
Version: 1.2-1
When using 9wm, sometimes windows will pop up above the top window, yet
remain unselected.
There is no documentation with 9wm that indicates this is proper behavior,
yet this seems inconsistent with the rest of 9wm.
In particular, clicking on the currently selected window won't bring
it to the top.
What does 8-1/2 do for this? Is there some fundamental reason 9wm can't
do the same thing?

These bugs have been open for over 10 years. They were all submitted by the same
person, and they seem to be unreproducible. That submitter has vanished and has
not commented on the bugs despite pings several years ago. I'l bet it was a
local problem on his system.
These bugs are a waste of space in the bug DB and in the list
http://bugs.debian.org/stats/oldbugs.html.
I am closing them now. Maintainer, if you really really want to have three of
the oldest ten bugs in Debian, you can reopen them, but I wouldn't if I were you.

No, I have no desire to leave these open. I just didn't want to upset
anyone who felt it was more important to have all "unresolved" issues
(even if not particularly resolvable) documented as such. I generally lean
this way, but I will take your (appreciated) conscientiousness as
a vote of confidence that no one really gives a crap. :-) Thanks.
